The main focus for this blog was the "gentleman" Alvin Holmes who ALWAYS makes a mountain out of an ant hill (not a mole hill because that is TOO BIG). The last two Superintendents were black,a female that they ran out of town and a male who they wanted to stay. He sets black people back in the time when riding in the back of the bus was not "cool" and there were two different waters fountains. Not everything is about race. I hate the gentleman who was the interim (a white male) didn't get the opportunity but I guess everyone's butts are on the line when you have kids graduating that cannot read or pass a basic skills test. The Exceptionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11688217637001555631noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1446397838971671963.post-34970564688030089642009-06-21T08:43:25.467-05:002009-06-21T08:43:25.467-05:00I'm just randomly stopping by after seeing a l...I'm just randomly stopping by after seeing a link from another blog, so I don't know the background. However, having been a teacher in several school districts, I would like to suggest that the race card is just convenient and the most obvious way to create an issue where there isn't one. Almost every time there was a turnover in leadership at a school or district level, the interim person never got it. I was even at a school where the loved-by-everyone assistant principal was promoted to acting principal. The school PTA asked the school board to make it permanent. The teachers at the school asked to make it permanen. The school district hired someone from out-of-district. I've seen this happen over and over and over. For some reason, school districts don't like to promote from within. They always seem to think someone from another district has better skills and/or ideas. It gets worse the higher up in bureaucracy you go.Lisa, Mom, Ysa, daughter,https://www.blogger.com/profile/17884489710462152274noreply@blogger.com
